Beasley Academic Center seeks to create a challenging learning environment that encourages high expectations and appropriate curriculum and instruction that allows for individual differences and learning styles. This is accomplished by promoting a safe, orderly, caring, and supportive school culture.  We strive to have our parents, teachers, and community members to be actively involved in our students' learning. We offer Gifted and Accelerated Programs, Algebra 1 H.S. Credit, French, Spanish, Swim, Debate, Industrial Technology, Computer Technology, Competitive Athletic Sports Programs and various Visual and Performing Arts Programs. Our partners include Ravinia, HistoryMakers, ACES Engineering, Dancing with Class, and Common Threads Kitchen Community.

Selections
Applicants are selected by computerized lottery and in accordance with the tier system, where applicable. Priority is given to applicants who have a sibling enrolled in the school. After siblings are accommodated, 40% of remaining seats are allocated for applicants for the entry-grade level who live within a 1.5 mile radius of the school.

Application Requirements
An admissions test is required. Eligibility for the admissions test is as follows:
K-4: None
5-8: Minimum 60th percentile in both reading and math on NWEA MAP.

IEP Students: Minimum 50th percentile in one subject (reading or math), and minimum 40th percentile in the other subject on NWEA MAP.
Selections
Applicants are selected based on their admissions exam score. Selection for all applicants is in accordance with the tier system outlined in the admissions policy for magnet, selective enrollment and other Options for Knowledge programs.
